Teeckle: Hey Arcy, tell the us something about you!
Yo, I'm Arcy! A 'full-time good guy and an illustrator based in Semarang, Indonesia, specializing in merchandising, branding, and advertising. I've produced a wide variety of work for both independent and established brands across a diverse range of industries around the globe.
Teeckle: What inspires you to create Teeckle’s designs?
Cartoons are my biggest influence, but I develop my own style by mixing in everything else I'm into. That could be anything, like tattoos, music, even memes.
Teeckle: Your favorite design elements and what makes Teeckle’s T-shirts unique, from bold graphics to subtle details?
My favorite part is experimenting with the layout. I always think about how Teeckle’s designs can speak to everyone—old or young, dogs or cats, or whatever, hahaha!
Teeckle: What emotions or messages do you want to tell behind Teeckle’s T-shirts?
For me, everything can be celebrated because every moments are different and may not happen again. Therefore, all the design were made by capturing those memories to be remembered. Just like Teeckle's spirit✨
Teeckle: How do you balance trendy vs. timeless designs?
Since my art style is cartoon, it's a piece of cake because who doesn't watch cartoons?
Simply tweak the other visual elements to maintain the freshness.
Teeckle: Which one is your favorite T-shirt from Teeckle?
"Lovebirds", there's a personal touch haha! The bird-cartoon vibe and mirror illustrations reflect the love between you and your girl. That whole feeling of getting ready for a date and wanting to look cute or cool together, yeah that’s what I wanted this design to capture
Teeckle: One unexpected fact about your design process.
Most of my inspiration comes from people's unlucky stories. It's really interesting to adapt bad luck into something fun or let's say, see it from other angle.
Teeckle: A funny or inspiring moment from your creative journey.
When I was in college, me and my friends have a term "Talentless but connected". It really sticks in my mind because sometimes the world works like that. Everyone can adapt to it, try to go out and find your support system! Teeckle: Any other message to Teeckler? In this short life let's have fun as much as possible, no matter good thing or bed thing, it might not happen twice, just make it like a monument, and order Teeckle lol!
